In order to set the mood and prepare for the forthcoming Independence day festivities, a badge making / wall hanging competition was organised in our school on Saturday 18th July.
The competition was open for students of stds. 5th to 7th & was held between 8.00 a.m. and 9.30 a.m. in the school hall. The competition was held in two categories -- Solo & Parent- child team. The students participated in large numbers and used their creativity and imagination to prepare beautiful badges , wall hangings & decorative show pieces in shades of saffron, white, green & blue. In keeping with the NEP which emphasizes a collaborative effort by teachers and parents for bringing about children’s holistic development, we had the Parent- child category of the competition too. It was a delight to see the parents & children creating beautiful craft work.
Our principal Rev. Fr. Victor expressed his pleasure at the whole hearted response we received for the competition from students as well as parents. The results were declared on the very same day. The winners will be felicitated during the Independence Day programme in school.
The programme was an initiative to instill a patriotic fervour in our boys & also enable parents and children to come together & participate in activities organised by the school; thereby promoting better rapport between parents & teachers which would facilitate the all round development of children.
