St.Paul High School

29th June 2026 was a day of faith and celebration at St. Paul High School and St. Paul Church as the community observed the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.

The day began with a Holy Eucharist at St. Paul Church, celebrated by Bishop Stephen Fernandes. During the Mass, Rev. Fr. Venancio Mascarenhas was inducted as the Parish Priest of St. Paul Church and Manager of St. Paul High School by Rev. Fr. Clifford.

In his homily, Bishop Stephen Fernandes reflected on the lives of Sts. Peter and Paul and urged all present to remain faithful, humble, and courageous. After the Mass, Fr. Venancio thanked the Bishop, Fr. Clifford, and Rev. Fr. Victor for their support and service.

The celebrations continued in the school hall with the Investiture Ceremony, compered by Ms. Shama and Ms. Cecilia. The newly elected student leaders were formally entrusted with their responsibilities for the academic year.

The ceremony began with the oath-taking of the Secondary Head Boys, administered by Principal Fr. Victor, who presented them with their sashes, ties, and school flag. The Primary Head Boy received his sash, tie, and flag from Ms. Joicy Lopes.

The Catholic Leader and Assistant Catholic Leader took their oath before Fr.Victor who presented their sashes and ties. The Social Service Captain and Assistant Social Service Captain were honoured by Ms. Olivia, Pre-Primary Supervisor.

The Sports Captain took the oath under Sir Prashant, who presented the sash, tie, and ceremonial torch. This was followed by the House Captains' Oath, administered by Ms. Joicy Lopes, with sashes, ties, and house flags presented by the Senior and Junior House Teachers.

The ceremony concluded with the Prefects' and Monitors' Pledge, led by Sir Sunil, while the respective class teachers presented the prefect ties and monitor badges.

The newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold discipline, responsibility, integrity, and service.

The day ended with a staff fellowship in the school hall, featuring a lively game of Housie, conducted by Ms. Nalini, Ms Henry and Ms. Jessica. Snacks, spot prizes, and the vote of thanks by Ms. Mincy added to the joy of the gathering.

The Feast of St. Paul, along with the induction of Fr. Venancio Mascarenhas and the Investiture Ceremony, marked a memorable beginning of faith, service, and leadership for the school community.
