Teachers’ Orientation Program for the academic year 2026–27

The Teachers’ Orientation Program for the academic year 2026–27 was held on 13th June 2026 at St. Paul High School. The resource person for the session was Dr. Savvy Mendonca, Principal of Michael High School, who was accompanied by the school supervisor, Ms. Margret.

The program began with Principal Fr. Victor Bandya welcoming the newly appointed Manager, Rev. Fr. Venancio Mascarenhas, to the school. Fr. Venancio warmly addressed the staff, encouraging everyone to begin the new academic year with dedication, enthusiasm, and a positive outlook. Ms. Smita Pawar introduced the guest speaker.

Dr. Savvy conducted an inspiring and interactive session on Positive Education, highlighting the importance of Positive Engagement, Positive Emotions, Positive Relationships, Positive Health, and Positive Education. She also explained the difference between a Fixed Mindset and a Growth Mindset, and discussed effective stress management by introducing the concepts of Eustress and Distress.

The teachers enthusiastically participated in group activities, including Mandala Art and the “Unique Myself” reflection activity, which promoted creativity, self-awareness, and teamwork. Dr. Savvy appreciated the active participants with small gifts and concluded the session by emphasizing positive health. Sir Henry and Sir Prashant demonstrated a few PT exercises that energized everyone.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Ms. Archana Pawar, followed by the felicitation of Dr. Savvy Mendonca and Ms. Margret by the school management.

The orientation program was an enriching and motivating experience that inspired the teachers to begin the new academic year with confidence, positivity, and renewed enthusiasm.
