St.Paul High School

The 77 th Republic day was celebrated with a lot of patriotic fervour. Ms. Gloria Gonsalves, retiring teacher of the secondary section was the chief guest & was felicitated by our Manager, Rev.Fr. Austin
Norris. She unfurled the national flag.

There were speeches, singing of Patriotic Songs, Dances, Drill Display, March-Past and shouting of Patriotic Slogans.

Scholarships were presented to the meritorious students. Some boys of the eco-club who had done commendable work throughout the year, were presented certificates of appreciation by Mr. Rajesh Doshi , a representative from The Global Green Resonance Foundation – an NGO working towards creating
awareness about the various environmental issues and dealing with the problem of waste management in an efficient and scientific manner.

Certificates of appreciation were also presented to the school (which was accepted by our Manager ,Rev.Fr. Austin Norris) and the eco-club teachers- Ms. Caroline, Ms.Stivina and Ms.Mincy.

Fr. Manager gave the Republic Day message to our students and appreciated the parents who were present there in large numbers throughout the programme. Sweets were distributed to the children after the programme.

This year’s Republic Day was very memorable. Our RSP Troop – winners at the Inter- Zonal level March-past competition, made us proud by winning the golden opportunity to march at the Republic Day parade at Shivaji Park. They were accompanied by our Principal, Rev. Fr. Victor , Mr. Prashant Shetty, our P.T. master and Mr.Dale D’Silva.
