SAVITRIBAI PHULE UTSAV -- ‘BALIKA DIVAS’.
Savitribai Phule Jayanti was celebrated during the morning assembly to commemorate the birth anniversary of the lady who is the pioneer of women’s education in India.
Rich tributes were paid to Savitribai, who fought against threats and intense societal opposition to win the right to education for women.
Our students participated enthusiastically in the programme and presented speeches, songs, role play and a powada based on the life of Savitribai Phule. The programme made our students aware of the importance of women’s education and the struggles and hardships that women like Savitribai Phule faced in order to ensure that women too receive proper education.
