Independence Day
15th August, 2025

This year on 15th August we celebrated India’s 79th Independence Day. A day filled with pride and courage began with welcoming the chief guest Ms Dalia Shridharan accompanied by principal Rev. Fr Victor Bandya and manager Rev. Fr Walter Pen, head teacher of primary section Ms Joicy Lopes and supervisor of secondary section Sir Sunil Dsouza by the guard of honour. The program began with the hoisting of the national flag, thereafter singing of the national anthem and Rajya geet. A disciplinary display of march past was done by the RSP and students council boys which was tuned and commanded by the band boys.
Himanshu Gamre of Std. Ninth spoke a few words highlighting the importance of the day. Then everyone joined in for devotional prayer for the nation. Ms Julie Nazareth delightfully introduced the chief guest Ms Dalia Shridharan and she was felicititated by Rev Fr. Victor Bandya and Rev Fr Walter Pen. After that Ms Sujata Asade announced the scholarship and prize winners of the pre-primary section for the academic year 2024-2025. Then Ms Jessica Dabre announced the scholarship and prize winners of the primary section.Then Std. IV students sang a patriotic song proclaiming the glory of our country.
Std. VII students demonstrated a systematic display of drill exercises. Later the Chief guest Ms Dalia expressed a heartfelt thank you for honoring her and expressed her affectionate sentiments towards our motherland India. Afterwards the Principal conveyed his benevolent thoughts on Independence Day to the gathering. Lastly Ms Selena gave the vote of thanks to all the committee members and teachers who had put in their efforts in making the program smooth and successful.
