Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great joy, gratitude and warmth at St. Paul High School on 3rd September, honouring the dedicated teachers who tirelessly nurture, guide and inspire our students.
The programme began with a beautiful prayer service conducted by our Head Teacher, Ms. Joicy Lopes. She also played a significant role in preparing the students for the entire programme and trained them for the compering, ensuring that the celebration was conducted smoothly and confidently.
The celebration commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the light of knowledge and wisdom. The lamp was lit by our Manager, Rev. Fr. Venancio Mascarenhas; Principal, Rev. Fr. Victor Bandya; Head Teacher, Ms. Joicy Lopes; and the teachers of Grades I, II, III and IV.
A special moment of the day was the felicitation of Ms. Selena, who completed an inspiring 25 years of dedicated service as a teacher at our school. Ms. Joicy Lopes felicitated her and congratulated her on this remarkable milestone. Adding to the warmth of the occasion, Master Aarambh delivered a wonderful speech highlighting Ms. Selena’s dedication, contribution and journey as an educator.
The students expressed their love and gratitude towards their teachers through beautiful handmade cards prepared with great care and creativity. These cards were presented to our Manager, Rev. Fr. Venancio; Principal, Rev. Fr. Victor; all the teachers; office staff; support staff and computer staff. The thoughtful gesture brought smiles to everyone and beautifully reflected the affection and respect the students have for those who guide them.
On this special occasion, Ms. Joicy Lopes warmly wished all the teachers and offered a short prayer. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the hard work, dedication and commitment of every teacher, appreciating the efforts they put into shaping the lives of the students.
Our Principal, Rev. Fr. Victor Bandya, also extended his warm wishes to all the teachers on Teachers’ Day. He expressed his sincere appreciation and thanked them for all that they do—their dedication, patience, hard work and constant efforts to educate, guide and bring out the best in every student.
Our Manager, Rev. Fr. Venancio Mascarenhas, thanked Ms. Joicy Lopes for organising the beautiful programme. He extended his warm wishes to all the teachers and expressed his appreciation for their tireless efforts in teaching, guiding and bringing out the best in every student. As a special gesture of gratitude, he presented Ms. Joicy Lopes with a handmade card on behalf of the Management and the students.
Speaking on behalf of all the teachers, Ms. Nalini Lopes expressed her sincere gratitude to the Manager, Principal, Ms. Joicy Lopes and the students for organising such a wonderful and heartwarming surprise. She also thanked each and every child for their thoughtful wishes, prayers and beautiful cards.
The celebration was a beautiful reminder that teachers do much more than teach lessons—they inspire dreams, build confidence and shape the future of their students. The programme concluded on a sweet and joyful note, leaving everyone with hearts full of gratitude, appreciation and happy memories.
